 Nipple Collapse October 27, 2008
I am very disappointed in these bottles. After reading reviews, they seemed like the best option for BPA free bottles. At first they worked ok with my newborn, but after less than 2 weeks nearly every nipple collapses during feedings, and my baby keeps on sucking in more air - you can actually hear her sucking in air. She gets very gassy and uncomfortable after feedings and I blame it mainly on these bottles and nipples. I switched to the new Dr. Browns BPA free bottles and they seem so be working great so far -- AND they are not as expensive as the Born Free. Some people seem to love the Born Free bottles, just didn't work for us. Good luck!!
 Use with Gerber NUK nipples October 24, 2008
These bottles are great for being BPA free, but they cause alot of collic without a better nipple than comes with the bottle.
I've found that the Gerber NUK nipples work best!(YES...they fit) They are more like the breast, which the baby loves, and they are much easier on baby (she doesn't have to suck as hard, and she gets less air, which reduces her collic by a major amount).
I would recommend if you can't see your self using any other bottle, try a Gerber NUK nipple, especially if you have a collicy baby!

This is the best bottles ever build. My baby, (3 month old) is happy besides is BPA free.. I recommend it.

These are fantastic bottles --sturdy, never leak, baby likes the nipples, no wear and tear from repeated washing, etc. My only complaint is that the anti-gas insert makes cleaning a little more time consuming. That being said, cleaning the insert adds at most an extra couple seconds to my routine. Not enough to make me give up on an otherwise great product. I have tried a lot of natural flow styled bottles and these are by far the best, better than MAMs, which leaked, Avent, which leaked and had BPA, and Dr. Browns, which leaked, had BPA and were a REAL hassle to clean.

I just changed this bottle from glass evenflow (4oz) to born free for 3 weeks because my baby now is 10 month old and she dislikes formula at this time.
I did use Dr. Brown for my first kid before. However, I have problem on cleaning this bottle. It is really hard to clean the straw which must be used in the bottle. Whenever I washed this bottle, I needed to use small brush to clean the straw every time.... Too many stuff. You would not like to take more time on this part.
Now I am happy to have this born free, no more straw. Everything is easy to clean. My second baby safely and gradually drinks a lot. It seems that she starts to accept formula after using born free. A perfect product.
