 LOVE this toy! January 6, 2008
My 3-month old daughter received this toy as a hand-me-down gift and just LOVES it!!! I recently brought it to a play date and my friends 5-month old loved this toy so much, she went and bought it also! There are no loud noises (which is great for us parents!) and it is very easy for babies to grab onto. My daughter constantly has it in her mouth and loves to "talk" to it...we call it her "talking toy". I am buying a back up just in case something happens to the one I have now. Definitely get this toy!
Great teether, grabber October 17, 2007
We recently attended a baby shower where this was given as a gift. The mom-to-be handed it to our 3-month-old and he grabbed it and started gumming it. It was the first thing he definitely wanted and grabbed with complete confidence and conviction. So, we bought him one and he is still enjoying it a month later. The nice thing about it is that no matter where the baby's little hands go, they can grab onto it pretty successfully every time, which is nice for infants. It's very chewy, and you can put it in the freezer to cool it down for teething discomfort. (Having said all that, though, this is our second Winkel. Quite some time ago, we gave away the one we had bought for our daughter when she was an infant; she never showed a great deal of interest in it. So, there you go...)
My son's 1st favorite toy October 14, 2007
My son has loved this toy since the second he's received it. I saw this toy on vacation in Colorado and couldn't find it town so I looked to Amazon and found it. With tax, I paid almost $18 (alot for this toy). I got it for my son to help with his motor skills at 3 months and now at almost 6 months his motor skills are amazing, in part to this toy. This is a definately most have for newborns, it is so easy for them to grab!

My husband and I bought this toy at Babies R Us for our son when he was about 6 or 8 months old. I thought it would be a big hit with all the different hand holds and colors and places to chew on. Unforunately he really never took to it. Never picked it to play with and it has remained in the toy basket ever since. I'm hoping that our daughter who is now 4 mos. will enjoy it a little more otherwise it will have proven a big waste of $$ for us. All kids are different and you can never predict what toys they will like regardless of how much YOU like them.

My baby girl loves this toy! She is six months old now and has enjoyed it ever since she could grab something. There are so many places to hold or grab it and its perfect to go into her mouth. She lights up when she sees it.The rattle is also very soft so she can hear it but it isn't annoying to every one else.
