Pretty Good. June 8, 2006 My baby is mostly breastfed, but Dad gives baby a bottle at night so I can get a few hours of uninterupted sleep. Baby loves this bottle and it really does keep air bubbles out of the milk. The only downfall is all the parts and putting them together. If I had it to do over, I would have tried the Playtex premium bottles with the drop ins.
Too many problems and hassles, use nurser bottles instead May 30, 2006 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
My husband and I bought these thinking they would be a great way to prevent bottle-related issues like gas and be a cost effective alternative to the nurser-type bottles. I decided to switch to nursers instead for these reasons: - Too many parts to wash and put together - Potential to leak - Cannot use a bottle warm to heat - With the potential to leak and lack of ability to use a bottle warmer, premaking bottles is out of the question. - The neck is too small (with this particular version, I wish I had seen the wide neck ones first) which makes pouring formula powder into the bottle tricky at best. - Nipples don't flow right. I needed to poke the holes open wider otherwise nothing came out. - A vaccum can be created. For whatever reason almost every other time when I put the bottles together a vaccum is created and I need to remove the bottom of the bottle for my son to be able to drink
A name you can trust May 25, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just wanted to say I received this set at a shower and have absolutly loved using it. I have found that my son has less gas and took to these bottles quite easily after brestfeeding. My sister recommended them to me and I want to recommend them to you. They are great! And what's even better is that there are no daily consumables.
I have tried them all and this is the best May 14, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have tried all bottles and this one worked the best. Avent made my baby gassy, Playtex nurser was to complex, Gerber he just did not like. Than I found these. I had no problem with stage 1 nipples, and now he is on rice in his milk and graduated to stage 2 and it works great. I put mine in the sterilizer and it comes out clean all the time. My husband caused it to leak one time by not putting it together properly, but I showed him and I have never had a problem. I love these bottles and would recommend to everyone. My baby had colic and this was such a great help. Please try with Gripe Juice if you have a gassy or colic baby.
I like these bottles and nipples a lot May 12, 2006 Tried other Stage 1 nipples with my newborn (like Nuk) and he got absolutely nothing out of them. Others, like Advent, caused him to leak milk from his mouth like crazy. I was getting desperate to find a nipple that he liked and also a bottle system that helped his gas, and this system has been great so far. The flow from the Stage 1 nipple seems ideal for a baby around a month old--a 6-month old would definitely need Stage 2. And I've had no problem putting the parts together, cleaning them sufficiently, or keeping them from leaking. My little one also has much less gas after a feeding than before. Good product.
