Helps with Gas but Detailed Washing! May 2, 2008 This product did seem to help aleviate my baby's spit ups and gas, when compared to other bottles that would make my baby vomit. Just be ready to spend the extra time washing all the little parts that are inside!
Highly recommend! March 25, 2008 Love these bottles! I'm primarily breast feeding but, when I have to use bottles, these work great. Very little (if any) air gets to baby & baby seems to have no trouble transitioning between these bottles & natural nipples. They do have a few pieces but, are easy to disassemble, clean up easily in the dishwasher & reassemble very quickly. Very durable & no leaks while drinking (although I have noticed that they will leak sometimes if they're in the diaper bag & it gets turned upside down). Highly recommend!
Dr. Brown's work! March 21, 2008 After trying what we thought was every other bottle on the market, we gave these a shot. Wow! What a difference! Finally a bottle that doesn't leak. And our daughter spit up less and had less gas. Only negative, and it's not that bad, is that there are more parts, and that means more to clean. Well worth it in my opinion!
They really seem to work! February 14, 2008 Love these bottles. Tried a few others, but noticed that my baby would fuss a lot while feeding and usually had lots of burping afterward. With these he still burps, but not nearly as much, and he is much calmer while feeding him. I also like that you can order the "premie" size nipples (extremely low-flow), not all of the brands have these. We're still using them, even though he was full-term and is now 4 months old, because whenever we switch to the next step up he sounds like he's drowning in milk! Guess we just have a slow sucker. ;) Anyway, the bottles work well and all the parts can go in the dishwasher. I'd heard they would be difficult to clean, but they're really not that much extra effort.
Saved our sanity! January 16, 2008 I am convinced Dr. Brown's bottles saved our sanity. Our daughter was waking us up 3 - 5 times a night. Finally after 9 months of sleep depravation we followed the advice of a friend and bought Dr. Brown's bottles. The number of parts is rather cumbersome to wash, but the inconvenience is nothing compared to a crying baby at night. Our daughter has gone from waking 5 times a night to once. What a difference a good night sleep means (knock on wood)! We gave Avent bottles every chance to solve our problems. Not only did Avent give her gas, but they leaked terribly. We gave about $200 worth of Avent bottles and paraphernalia to the Salvation Army.
I'm offering no guarantees with this endorsement, but it won't hurt to try these bottles if you have a fussy baby. She was sleeping after two days of use. Wouldn't dream of going back to Avent.
