disappointed September 16, 2008 Well I thought this would save me time with my second child - warming up breastmilk in a hurry. It has been inconsistent and not trustworthy so far. Out of the 6 times I've tried it - 2x it was WAY too hot and I didn't have time to cool it off. And the rest of the times it wasn't hot enough. Maybe I misread the directions, but they weren't the clearest either. I'll give it another shot - but at this point it's more reliable to just use a pan/cup of hot water.
Simple and effective August 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have two bottle warmers so that we have one on each level of the house - this one and the more expensive Avent model and yet I prefer the First Years unit because it's simple to use especially in the middle of the night. I love that the water is steamed up and you don't have to empty it out like you do with the Avent model. And, I've found this unit to be more successful in achieving the desired temperature over the other model.
Only thing I don't like is that because the water gets steamed/burned up, it leaves a burned residue in the bottom which has to be cleaned out. However, I still prefer to do that than have to empty water out after every use as is the case with other units.
So, $20 model is easier to use and more effective than it's $60 competition. Go with this one - we wish we had two of these instead of one.
Must have for travel! August 9, 2008 I only use this bottle warmer on trips, and I "never leave home without it!!" It is perfect with my Avent bottles, and heats perfectly every time according to directions. I have the finicky baby who needs her bottle warm, and I used to run it under the hot water forever while she was crying. Now it's a breeze. And it's so fast. I can hold her and she watches it heat! Happy baby, happy mommy.
Love it August 6, 2008 I was definitely skeptical after reading the mixed reviews for this product but I decided to try it anyway. It is hard to get the amount of water just right but I really like it anyway. Remember, different bottles will necessitate different amounts of water. It heats quickly, is small enough to be portable, and is inexpensive. I highly recommend it.
Has ups and downs July 29, 2008 This product is nice to have if your child is picky about warm formula or milk. However, you need to be cautios when serving the bottle. They tend to overheat the formula and any condensation on the bottle can burn your child.
