Editorial Review Unlike most bottles, the 9-ounce Playtex VentAire can be opened from either the top or the bottom of the bottle. The top of the bottle has a twist-on ring and nipple, like most other conventional bottles, along with a plastic cap to protect the nipple and keep it clean when not in use. Each of the angled bottles in this three-pack is also equipped with an air vent on the bottom that's designed to keep the liquid moving toward the nipple when it is being sucked on, while at the same time preventing liquid from spilling out when the bottle is turned right side up. The system works well and has the advantage of allowing you to clean the bottle more thoroughly between uses. Although the bottles are reusable, they are not made with heavyweight plastic, and the manufacturer recommends that you don't heat them in boiling water. --Chris Burns
Product Description The Playtex VentAire bottle helps reduce gas and colic. The patented bottle lets parents feed their baby virtually bubble-free. The leak-proof vent lets air in through the bottom of the bottle versus at the nipple like other bottles, so there are virtually no bubbles for your baby to swallow. That means less gas, colic or spitting up, and its angled shape promotes the semi-upright feeding position recommended by pediatricians to help prevent ear infections. The VentAire bottle is also easy to clean because top and bottom are removable and the vent is one piece. Wash by hand or in the dishwasher. The VentAire Standard Bubble-Free Bottle System is perfect for bottle-feeding babies. Bottles are available in 6oz and 9oz sizes, and in assorted colors.

great bottles October 18, 2008 Used these for my first grandson and now for 2 more coming next month. These were easy to clean and never had trouble with the baby sucking to much air.
I didn't received what I ordered June 4, 2008 I ordered the Playtex VentAire Bottles but instead I received the new version of these bottles (The wide ones). I decided to use but it was a bad idea. The botton's valves doesn't works...I received the wrong products and the ones that I received broke down the second time I use it. I am very disapointed.
Playtex Ventaire Bottles are NOT Bisphenol -A Free April 8, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Playtex Ventaire Bottles are NOT Bisphenol-A Free. The Playtex Bottles with the liners are considered ok! I was recently informed about the use of Bisphenol -A in some brands of Baby Bottles, After re-searching Bisphenol -A, I discovered that exposing my baby to harmful chemicals with the potential for long term affects later in life, was definitely not for me!! There are other options out there, all glass bottles are safe, as well as Born Free, Mam by Sassy, Green to Grow and Adrini. The Playtex Bottles with the liners are said to be ok, though the hard plastic shell of the bottle is made using Bisphenol-A, the plastic liner that touches the baby's milk is not! Do your own research. I'm really surprised that the non Bisphenol -A Free bottles haven't been recalled yet! I'm sure it's just a matter of time, before enough people are educated.
Great bottle, excellent price colors are irrevelent March 16, 2008 So..... seriously........... the color of a bottle matters to someone that much? rather than bash on the product and give it one star, just return it to your local Target or keep these, as a mom can never have too many bottles? Chances are a reviewer has never seen the Target fulfillment center, and that's not one's fault, but if you did see it in KY you'd know that with a fulfillment center literally the size of a couple of football fields and the amount of bottles that arrive daily with other products, it would be impossible to receive all of the same colors and to update the website with the various colors. Currently the colors shown are green, blue and purple on the website. The bottles are a great product and should not be given one star due to one's impatience.
Improper photos February 28, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I like these bottles very much for my 6 month old son. However, the picture they displayed does not come close to the colors they offer. I wanted navy, green and dark red. When my bottles finally arrived I had a three pack of blue, green and purple. Along with three individual wrapped bottles of 1 purple and two pink. This is not what I wanted to order.
